I homeschooled my daughter from kindergarten through high school with a mix of homegrown courses, purchased curricula, co-ops, a hybrid program with our local school system, CLEP, and dual enrollment. Our focus was on school/life balance and exploring her specific interests. She entered UNC Wilmington with 47 credits and a large scholarship, graduated summa cum laude with a double major and university honors in 2022, and is now on her way to a master’s program. My passion is connecting people with the resources they need to meet their goals, whether in my previous professional experience in information/referral and case management or in my various volunteer roles in local homeschool groups and as a current moderator for the HS4CC North Carolina group.
